The K Club drew international acclaim in 2006 when it became the first and, to this date, only Irish venue to host the Ryder Cup. Already a well-known golfing destination, having hosted 13 European Opens from 1991 to 2007, the eyes of the world were drawn to this magnificent resort to experience the cream of the golfing world’s elite, centre stage on the Arnold Palmer-designed Palmer North Course.

In 2016, The K Club once again opened its doors to some of golf’s biggest names, ten years after the 36th Ryder Cup, by becoming the official host venue to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, hosted by The Rory Foundation.

Rightly proud of our legacy as a leading tournament destination, we are also looking forward to hosting the Irish Open in 2023, 2025 and 2027, as well as the Irish Challenge Tour in 2024 and 2026.

Both of our courses have received significant upgrades and investment in recent years and with such an extraordinary asset – we are the only 36-hole, Arnold Palmer designed destination in Europe – The K Club golf team is looking to the future with the same trailblazing attitude found elsewhere on our 550-acre resort.
