The K Club, known for its discerning sense of taste, is hosting three exclusive evenings of imbibing, dining and storytelling across three of the resort’s restaurants. The hotel’s world class, multi award winning sommelier, Lisa O’Doherty will be joined by a special guest host for each flavour-fuelled tour of discovery that will make up the ultimate autumn/winter drinks diary.

Drumshanbo Gin Masterclass - Wednesday, 25th October | €35 per person

Perched at the edge of a lake in a shed in a small Irish town in Co Leitrim, the ordinary is made extraordinary by PJ Rigney as he slow distils gin with nature’s finest oriental botanicals and gunpowder tea. For one night only, PJ will be hosting a masterclass with his Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin in the comfortable, low-lit surroundings of The Palmer. Gin lovers will be guided along a curious botanical trail while signature serves and carefully crafted cocktails will provide you with the ultimate way to serve each sip.

An Exclusive Wine Dinner with Lillian Barton - Friday, 10th November | €295 per person

The K Club’s rich history is inextricably linked to wine, it is therefore inevitable that the pièce de resistance of the drinks event series culminates with an incredibly special wine experience. This year, Lillian Barton – whose late father Sir Anthony Barton was the last Barton to be born at The K Club – is returning to one of the most important addresses in her family’s long legacy to host an exclusive evening alongside The K Club Chief Sommelier, Lisa O’Doherty. A Champagne reception in the Garden Room will be followed by a five-course gala dinner from The Barton restaurant’s talented chefs, with each dish expertly matched with stunning Chateau Leoville Barton wines. Lillian will also be bringing an exclusive wine from her very own sought-after cellar to pair with the course of her choosing.
